Winter aconite’. Looks wonderful in a mass under deciduous trees. Best bought in growth, not as dry corms. Cheery yellow buttercup flowers, from late January to early March. Poisonous.

A hybrid between E. cilicica and E. hyemalis making a larger, stronger plant. The sterile, golden yellow globular flowers for weeks from January. Propagated vegetatively, slow growing. Harmful if eaten.
